Hi, my name is Shaz. I am mum of 3 year old girl and a 15 month old boy. I have lost 20kgs in 12 months while breastfeeding.
Around this time last year, I was browsing the net for some support and help with losing some weight but safely because I was (and still am) breastfeeding. That's when I found In Shape Mummy Health Shakes.

Keeping Things Simple (and realistic)
What helped me most was keeping things simple and consistent.
I didn’t aim for perfection or follow extreme rules.
Most days, I:

and went for a daily walk
That routine was realistic for me while breastfeeding and looking after two young kids.
I did go on holiday and slow down at times - but instead of giving up, I focused on making sustainable lifestyle changes that I could return to.
My biggest mindset shift
Early on, I realised I didn’t just want to lose weight temporarily. My aim was to make some lifestyle changes that will lead me towards a sustained healthy weight.
I wanted to:

Once I stopped trying to do everything at once and focused on small, repeatable habits, the results followed.
My advice to other mums
If I could share just a few things with other mums, it would be this:
Keep it simple. Start small.
Treat every day as a fresh start.
If motivation dips, remind yourself why you’re doing this.
Stay accountable - having support makes a huge difference.
For me, my husband and mum were a big part of my journey. That encouragement really helped me stay motivated.
What I ate in a typical day (simple & flexible)
This wasn’t a strict plan or something I followed perfectly every day.
It’s just an example of the kinds of foods I chose most often while breastfeeding and losing weight.
Breakfast
I was never a big breakfast person before, but I learned how important it was for healthy weight loss - especially while breastfeeding.

I got myself a step tracker to help encourage me.
Walking helped improve my mindset as well as my results. When I was spending time moving my body, it naturally encouraged me to choose foods that supported that effort rather than working against it.
A routine that fits this season of motherhood
